The Divination RPG Preview
In 2021 we released a two-part PDF preview of the game as it stood at that time. Part One was 65 pages geared toward players and was available for free, and Part Two was 66 pages geared toward Diviners and was available for a modest $6.
In the leadup to Gen Con 2022 we made some major updates to Powers and a few of the mechanics that were still a little unclear. While we didn’t go back to our fully laid-out Preview text to update it, we did include a number of new addenda with the download that reflected the late 2022 version of the rules.
In 2023 we made a similar push in the leadup to Gen Con, and updated the few final mechanics that were still a little fuzzy. Those mechanics are the ones that stand today, and will make their way into the core book—so as you can imagine, it makes more sense to write it directly into that final form now rather than putting it into a bunch of additional updates.
All that being said—the core structure of the game has not actually changed much since that 2022 free preview. It’s still a document we absolutely are proud of, and it will give you a fantastic overview of the game and you can download Part One for free below!
We’re no longer making Part Two available (it’s a little outdated now anyway)—but we recently closed our Kickstarter and will likely be opening to late pledges later this year if you want to get the full game!
