Divination RPG is the brainchild and creation of Matthew Muñiz, being molded and shepherded into being by Nyx Tesseract and Night Goddess Games.
Matthew Muñiz (he/him)
Matthew Muñiz is a lifelong teacher and restless creative whose music, writing, and direction have been featured in albums, escape rooms, plays, podcasts, short film soundtracks, and and now this, his first TTRPG.
Matthew first discovered TTRPGs as a child, and was blown away by the depth of creativity that could exist in one hobby. When he discovered tarot and found how much depth of human experience could be packed into 78 cards, he felt the calling to combine the two.
When he isn’t making music or games, Matthew is spending time with his husband Vincent, without whom none of it would be possible.
Nyx Tesseract (she/her)
Nyx (known in other realms as Tobi Mattingly) has been a life-long lover of story and a years-long lover of tabletop roleplaying. She was new to tarot when she and Matthew began working on Divination, but now owns close to 100 decks and counting—so it’s fairly safe to say she’s now also a lover of tarot.
Nyx has spent the past two decades working in the Chicago theatre community as an actor, director, music director, and teaching artist. She also freelances as a marketer, graphic designer, and provider of other small business services to fellow creators and world-changers.
Beyond gaming and tarot, Nyx enjoys hobbies such as crochet and cosplay. She also loves fixing up and caring for the Chicago bungalow where she lives with her three cats.
Matthew and Nyx met working on a musical together at The House Theatre of Chicago, and discovered a mutual love of story and gaming that eventually led them to pursue this endeavor together.
